ROLL CAGE FOR STREET / DRIFT / CIRCUIT / TIME-ATTACK

Whether you have a street-car dabbling in some on-track antics, a drift project or a circuit seeking racecar, we can sort your roll protection requirements and offer guidance if you're not sure what you need. We also recommend you check with the organisers of the events you're wanting to be at, what their roll-protection requirements are.

Half cages - these rear only cages (also referred to as a 4-point) are a basic option for a bit of peace of mind, that don't require an Authority card for street-use if they don't extend forward of the driver. A half cage doesn't have side intrusion so won't allow you to compete in Motorsport officiated events (hence we don't complete the MSNZ homologated paperwork unless you request it), but are accepted at most grass-roots days. While we usually offer weld-in cages, we can make a bolt-in cage so you can utilise your back-seat when the cage is not installed.

6 point roll cages - these are a full rollcage with side intrusion bars and are our most common type of cage. 6-points are accepted for Motorsport NZ events and are also a requirement to drift the main circuit (track 2) drift section at Taupo Motorsport Park. As standard we build ours with double side intrusion bars, a cross in the rear, a harness bar and windscreen (or A-pillar) gussets if your windscreen is removed, however we can customise your cage to your preference with more or less bars. We also complete the homologation paperwork every time, so there is a record with Motorsport New Zealand to future-proof your investment if you sell the car a few years down the track. This rollcage is also able to be installed in a street-use car if you obtain an authority card via Motorsport New Zealand.

8 point roll cages - a full roll cage that also extends through the firewall to the strut-towers, we build these to all the same specifications as the 6-point cage above including the MSNZ homologation paperwork. These provide a higher level of driver-protection in the event of a frontal collision as the strut towers are tied in.

We have completed a number of 4-seater 'drift-taxi' style rollcages (signed off by MSNZ also), we can add side-intrusion bars to half cages, re-design your side bars to suit the seating position of a new owner, we can install cage kits and repair bars after incidents. Everything we do is to spec, able to be extended in future and signed off by MSNZ when required - so if you have a project you need to add some protection to, don't hesitate to get in touch with us!
